TREE SURGEON
Self-Employed / Subcontractor
Surrey, Berkshire & surrounding areas • Competitive day rate • Regular ongoing work
We are looking for an experienced and confident Tree Surgeon to work alongside our busy and friendly team.
This is a self-employed/subcontractor position with regular work available for the right person. We carry out a wide variety of domestic and commercial tree work, so no two days are the same.
THE ROLE
The role will involve all aspects of tree surgery, including:
Climbing and aerial tree work
Crown reductions and thinning
Tree dismantling and removals
Tree felling
Pruning and general tree maintenance
Chipping and site clearance
Safe use of chainsaws, machinery and equipment
Working safely and efficiently as part of a team
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who:
Is an experienced, confident and competent climber
Has good practical experience in all aspects of tree surgery
Can carry out aerial pruning and sectional dismantling to a high standard
Has good knowledge of safe tree surgery practices
Is reliable, hardworking and punctual
Works well as part of a team
Takes pride in their work
Holds relevant NPTC/LANTRA qualifications
Has a full UK driving licence

APPRENTICE TREE SURGEON
Full Training Provided
Surrey, Berkshire & surrounding areas • Hands-on training • Opportunity to build a career in tree surgery
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Apprentice Tree Surgeon to join our busy and experienced team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in working outdoors and would like to learn a skilled trade and build a career within the tree surgery and arboriculture industry.
No previous tree surgery experience is necessary. We are looking for the right person with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a good work ethic.
THE ROLE
You will work alongside our experienced tree surgeons, learning all aspects of the job, including:
Tree pruning and maintenance
Tree felling and dismantling
Ground work and assisting climbers
Chipping and site clearance
Safe use of tools, machinery and equipment
Basic tree identification and care
Safe working practices
Climbing and aerial tree work as your skills and training progress
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who:
Is enthusiastic and genuinely interested in learning tree surgery
Enjoys practical, hands-on and outdoor work
Is hardworking, reliable and punctual
Is physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
Works well as part of a team
Is willing to listen, learn and take instruction
Takes pride in doing a job properly
Has a positive attitude and good work ethic
Holds a full UK driving licence, or is working towards one
Previous experience is not essential as training will be provided.
